Pictionary Olympics

Get Ready, Get Set, Draw! If you have ever played the game of Pictionary you know how much fun it can be. It is even more fun when played as a team against other teams in our community.

Pictionary Olympics, the LWV Manistee County hosted FUNdraiser is lively, entertaining, and guaranteed to provide laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition for all who participate!

For a small fee, businesses and groups in the community sponsor a four-person team that competes to win a coveted 1st place trophy, plus year-long bragging rights.

Pictionary is easy to play. Each person on the team is given a word, known only to themselves and the audience, and then must draw an image of that word for the rest of the team. The team members have one minute to guess the correct word. The team with the shortest overall time, after 4 rounds of play, wins the trophy. A trophy is given to the team with the best costumes and the last-place team receives the “Haven’t Got a Clue” award.

To add to the fun, we invite ‘local celebrities” to serve as the Master of Ceremonies, judges, word board and timer managers. Past celebrities have included Joshua Glass, City of Manistee Police Chief; Sarah Howard, Manistee Senior Center Executive Director; Jeff Dontz, Manistee County Commissioner; Heather Pefly, City of Manistee Clerk; Karen Goodman, Manistee County Commissioner; and Julie Cirone, Director of the Manistee Public Library.

Pictionary Olympics is a great way to have fun with fellow community members and contribute to your LWV. All the proceeds from this event support the LWV’s mission to help educate voters, strengthen and improve voter participation, and protect and strengthen our democracy!

The next Pictionary Olympics will take place in April 2025. Watch this space for registration information.
